Of the games I own for PS3: MGS4, Fallout 3, Burnout Paradise, Killzone, and Resistance. I don't have many PS3 games and don't play many new releases.

On PS2: Destroy All Humans, Resident Evil 4, Lord Of The Rings: Third Age(first turn-based RPG i really got in to), Battlefield 2: Modern Combat

I'm not following the rules for PC and I'm just listing my favorites/most played games.
GTA series, Battlefield 1942, Enter the Matrix, Rollercoaster Tycoon, MDK2, and Lego Island(I'm pretty sure it was my first video game)

I rarely get games less than a month after their release and even then I usually just buy used from Gamestop then return it after a week for a refund. My interest in gaming has died down recently but I think thats because I'm too cheap to buy new games and am bored with my old ones.

Also I have to add that my most played series is Need For Speed. I bought High Stakes from friend many years ago and have been hooked since. I've played pretty much all of them on both console and PC. It's gone downhill since they made Prostreet though. Most Wanted was the last of the great ones and Carbon was just MW with uglier bodykits and in the dark.

Microvision & Vectrex

i worked for Milton Bradley & my stepdad was there before me, so i got all that stuff...mostly boardgames, but... while they lasted they were cool games .Microvision screen eventually went black. The Vectrex had these neat 3d graphics that was better than a lot of the early games. but, after playing it, the console got spotty in general .. but, Microvision was the very first handheld inter-changable gaming device - a pre-gameboy. Vectrex was built by the same guys that eventually made Playstation & Saga Systems... the company really blew it when they pulled the plug on that. Actually, there's the reason why Hasbro was able to buy out MB. ... after Vectrex, MB went from being a local 'mom&pop' factory with people actually making everything to being a 'importing firm'....



we just did the release for ModernWarefare2 ... kinda bloody, but the graphics were amazing.

I hope I get my copy from amazon today for MW2. Seems if their release date delivery doesn't work often.

I just remembered why I dont buy video games anymore. I had Veterans Day off, and picked up Dragon Age Origins after studying. I didnt start playing until 4-ish, but I went straight until 2am.

You know you have a problem when you really have to pee, but opt to turn up the volume and let a cutscene play while you run to the restroom rather than pausing.

Wow... I'm glad to know I'm not the only one that does that. Despite liking the game as much as I do, I actually do have a few gripes about it. Like for instance, why the hell doesn't the character talk?? Mass Effect with swords, people... Shepard would talk someone's damn ears off! And I'm sure that Mass Effect actually does look a bit better, especially when it comes to the enemies. The cut scene before (and after) the battle at Ostegar are nice but the character's just look so... Generic. The troll, for instance, could have looked WAAAAY better than what it did. I understand there are limitations to things when you have so much gameplay, to pack onto one disc, but I think they could have pulled a Square Enix (Final Fantasy, The Last Remnant) and put it on two discs.

I agree about the main character talking thing. I mean, its cool that you get to choose the voice style, but its not worth it if because of that the character only gets to say generic phrases. I really thought video games were past that.

The visuals really dont bug me that bad, because you have to admit, the story lines are pretty detailed. And obviously poor graphics has never stopped me from playing crappy flash games online for hours on end. its all about gameplay for me.

Probably at the moment most excited for Stargate Worlds. I saw some previews where parts look to be 3rd person shooter (maybe toggle between fps and 3rd person?) so maybe this will be a game that can transition me into enjoy shooter games more. WoW, and Blizzard, should be...

I know the MMO genre was around before then, but thanks to WoW MMOs are HUGE. I played WoW for a few months I'll admit. I quit after it almost killed my [old ass] laptop. I moved from there to City of Heroes/Villains, which I quit after a few months. I just don't feel like I should have to pay to play something that I bought. I think they should only charge you if you're active on the servers. Like you play for two months, get charged for those, then you quit for a month and don't get charged. Oh well, I like how CoH/V does their payments. You can pay for X amount of months and play without worry. When what you paid for is about to expire you get an email from the team asking to renew your account if you want to keep playing.

I'd seriously be broke if I got charged monthly for the games I play on a regular basis (not that I'm not broke already).

I hope it's not an MMO, I don't believe I'd be able to handle that...

Yeah, that's why I'm glad gw doesn't have a monthly fee. I play a good amount for a solid couple of months, and then I go awol for half a year. Would hate to still have to pay for that half of a year.

and I think there are some games that have you pay only for the time you actually played. I cannot remember which, but I know I've had this conversation recentlyish.
