oh what does the future hold.

oh how beautiful the day will be when we don't.

Ummm yes, graphics keep getting better and better. For sure, but I disagree, there will always be a place for actors. You can't get more real than real. wink.gif

lol did you watch the barrel one? I think it's the third youtube link.

it's pretty intense.

have you played crysis?

No, I haven't... I don't have a good PC gaming setup, so I tend not to buy PC games. That segment was cool tho...
SweetCrow.
this really surprised me. The graphics were downright beautiful. it reminds me of the series of different animated films which were released with the goal of appearing as 'real' as possible. (finding nemo, the polar express the upcoming Jim Carrey Christmas tale) i wonder if games will adopt the technique that those films did (at lease Polar Express) which used momentary clips of actual shots and integrated them into the animation.

what is behind your want to get rid of actors? i'm not sure I understand. I would think ridding them from movies would be a shame

I'm quite strictly a console gamer. I just can't do the whole keyboard and mouse shit. Gimme something ergonomic for fuck sake lol. I also don't really have a computer that i would trust to play demanding pc games. I got the most powerful spec of Macbook you can get, but it's just not built for that kinda thing.

I hope this gaming engine is integrated into consoles soon enough. That looks fucking intense.

I agree. Is there nothing in this world now that isn't under threat of one day being replaced by a vitual or artificial substitute. It's like eating beef-flavoured tofu - it can taste as much like beef as a cannibalistic black angus that passes the day by towing 18-wheelers...................but you still know it's not.

Let's keep up the advances in technology, while preserving the remains of the reality of this world as much as possible, mmmmmmmkay?
