Meet HURT at Best Buy(not sure yet if its East Towne or West Towne) 6-8pm May 22nd.

Can someone fill me in on what type of venue The Annex is? Do they sell out Hurt shows there? I'm thinking about making the trek to Madison, but don't know what route to buy tickets. Ticketmaster always charges fees galore. Thoughts?

I'll be there w/2 people I work with and possibly my best friend & usual concert buddy. She hasn't decided if she's going yet though so I might have an extra ticket...
Not sure about best buy though, depends on timing and if the others are up for it. They don't get it, yet...

it's on their myspace page and it's a street team order. (but really, it should give the address, since I'm sure there's more than one Best Buy in Madison!)

I'll be there, as well as the show in Chi - town. Living in Rockford meets me about halfway between the two, so that makes it quite easy!

I've been so fed up with the street team page lately I haven't bothered to go on. Kept on crashing my browser and making everything go funky. I know, it's terrible of me not to figure it out, but... whatever. I'll take the *shame*

the first straw was the 'log in' description page had it listed as 'acccount login' which. that error bothered me profusely.

then I dunno. the way the site is set up gives me a headache. Those don't need any help getting worse.

Anyone ever been to a Hurt concert at The Annex? Do they sell the place out? Ever had a problem getting tickets at the door?

It will likely sell out at the door. The Annex isn't exactly the largest venue and its a Friday night show. Ill be driving up from Chicago so I just sucked it up and got mine off Ticketmaster to be sure. Better safe than sorry especially if youre coming from out of town, but even my brothers who live in Madison ordered their tickets in advance to be safe.

I would like to make it to Chicago/Madison/Pointfest but with things the way they are right now im not sure whats going to happen! Prob end up seeing Carolines Spine on the 23rd/ though i had a blast at Pointfest last year & You couldnt beat the price 29 for 29 bands!

that was an amazing show. sold out of course. great promo by the radio personalities all day today and at the concert. love the violin-guitar war during Fighting Tao. i went with two of my friends, neither of which have listened to Hurt beyond what is played on the radio, they both bought an album.

AHMAGOD that was freaking amazing. I was sitting there with my mouth dropped wide open. Glad flies didn't buzz in... But yeh. Sat and stared back and forth between Paulie and J and I'm like... really? Really? I love you so much right now...

We had a six hour drive ahead of us so we didn't really hang around after the show. For a few minutes, to see how fast they'd be, but we ditched. Said Hi to Paul, but he was being swarmed. That's one thing I like about Minnesota shows, there aren't as many people around. But I really was jumping up and down in excitement that Hurt was playing a headlining sold-out show. That's so freaking fantastic. Yay Hurt! Always gotta have the assclowns, but, oh well. Glad I went.

Oh god, in my extreme tiredness I complete forgot to tell you all my tiny little story.

Walking back to the car 3 blocks away I saw someone I thought I recognized. I said to my friends, "I think that's Josh." AND HE LOOKED AT ME. He smiled, so I said, "Josh Ansley you still rock." He thanked me and continued walking. YAY JOSH.

Cool! That's awesome! Wonder what the hell he was doin' clear out in Wisconsin besides seein' HURT?

i was at the concert last night with my fiance. got there at like 8:30 and they had a line. the poor suckers without tickets were being turned away left and right lol. got in, got some shirts, saw Silvergun (they rocked) and then of course, HURT! it was amazing. we had weazeled our way to the front, by the wheelchair kid, and as i was filming 10 Ton Brick, J took my camera and filmed the crowd and the band for a minute or so. I WAS THE GUY THAT GOT THAT FOOTAGE!!! anyway, my heart is still racing every time i watch that video. it's a shame though my memory card ran out of space half-way during Rapture. serves me right for only bringing a 4 gig. then afterward, i got my shirt signed by the band, and me and my fiance got pics with all the members. it was our second time seeing them at the Annex, and i must say, it was absolutely amazing!

FOR REAL???? That's so awesome!


I know Josh is actually gonna be here in Little ROCK this month for a friend's wedding... but I don't have his phone number.

Josh seemed happy that someone recognized him, he looks good. My friends called me a creeper, and then proceeded to talk about how sexy J. and Paul were (they are both chicas). I think they are now creeping on J and Paul.

Meh. It was recorded, I believe by Best Buy, but the sound sucked so hard. And, they only played like two or three songs. Don't be too upset that you missed it! I believe the songs they played were That (Such A Thing) and TTB. Correct me if I'm wrong..

I got video from Best Buy & the show at the Annex but dont have any clue on how to share it......sorry guys!!

had/have no idea who exactly you are/were. however I do remember where i was standing...and the godawful ringing noise those best buy speakers emitted.

I was standing right next to the speaker.....i dont know much about electronics but i thought maybe my camera was making them ring.

It's taken me too long to post about these shows
Sound at Best Buy was decent where I was but I couldn't really see anything except for the back of heads so after a couple of video/pic attempts, I gave up and listened only.
We got some dinner at a bar down the street from the annex and saw Paul & Rek when we were on our way out. My friends had them sign their arms, I had them sign my purse (Paul wrote HURT in the middle too). Then I tried to buy them dinner but they kept trying to say no so I just gave a little money to the bartender Paul said the show was sold out already. This girl followed us out and asked who they were, tried to explain, she was like "who??" I don't know what happened when she went back inside...Had Loren & Louie sign my purse after the show. So now my okay cheap purse is my greatest priceless purse
The show at the annex was the best I've seen/heard though (it was #6)!! Louie was great, I was impressed. Loren didn't seem to hold back at all. My friend commented that he didn't say much after the show, I told her I assumed he was trying not to, to save his voice...I bought my first Hurt t-shirt, the grey one with the boy. It's soft/smooth, i like the feel.
I can NOT wait to go to another show, luckily I get to go to CO for the show June 22.

The opening band, silvergun, was okay, had some tuning issues though, and I kinda felt like they were impersonating the characters on guitar hero...but some of their stuff had potential.
OH, and I so saw Josh too! Inside, it was just the back of his head, walking the opposite direction that i was going. I convinced myself that it couldn't have been him, it was just the back of his head, must have been someone else. But apparently not and I can oddly identify his hair...I would have liked to say hi, I only met him once before but he seemed so nice
I could elaborate on the shows details but I have a tendency to go on and on and on... so I'll stop now and just say Wow, great show!

D.M. I honestly cannot remember what i was wearing at Best Buy but im almost 100% positive that it wasnt a white shirt.....with five children i dont have very much white in my wardrobe....lol

On a slightly more revealing note, my sister joked that she noticed his camel tail. I was too busy hurting to notice. Dueling solos was awesome. Rapture was best I've seen. It was nuts in there...
