In my opinion it takes away from the music, it's an aspect that's missing from my experience. I can't grasp the full expression that the artist is trying to express because I can't understand what he's singing. I'm listening to something that's not complete to me. I'm missing a part of the "painting" if you will, I can't see the entire picture.
I love music, and especially music without words/lyrics. It flows quite well through my veins. If there are lyrics though there's something that the artist is trying to say, and I can't see the painting in its entirety, and I can't stand that.
Well, I don't share that view, but I can see where you're coming from.
It's like... I really like abstract art, and I also like much more classical art, but art where it looks abstract, but when you look closer you realise it's actually meant to be something... just annoys me... because I feel like I shouldn't have to intellectualise and LOOK for things in a picture, I should just look and it should move me.
I guess that's kind of similar.
And also... I want to go to Iceland.
They have Bjork, Sigur Ros, Springs, Mountains, Mist, Lakes, and I think, sometimes, the Aurora, but I might be wrong on that.
