Sevendust does kick some major ass.....but to me it's a toss up between Seether and Tool
Seether-they are so passionate about what they do. I swear if you cut Sean Morgan's (lead singer) skin, eh would bleed music. And they also play with the same intensity acoustic as they do electric. That is quite a feat. To have the same power and impact whithout the effects of amps
Tool-Shit...it's tool!! Only show I have ever seen that is all about just the music. Maynard in teh background, letting the music take focus, graphics with the music so all your senses are hit (if you have ever been to a tool show you know "hit" and what it means here) and ..shit..it's TOOL!!!!

Yeah. On the seether boards we made a name for that seether experience... we call it, "The Seether Experience". Fitting, eh?

I didn't think we even had to mention hurt goes without saying. But the energy at a sevendust show is out of control. Was at a show a few years back forgot who was the headliner even but 7d played and even when the next band played everybody was chanting sevendust, sevendust.

Sevendust does put on an amazing show!
Papa Roach puts on a good show, especially now that they are cleaned up. The difference between a chubby drugged rocker and a sober fit rocker is huge!
Hurt is obviously fantastic
Last night i saw Shinedown, zombie, and godsmack. Shinedown was good, zombie's show was good, very rehearsed, but good.

Godsmack owned that biznatch though. the dueling drums was kickass except when a thrown drumstick went awry.
I was especially psyched they played Voodoo, I used to listen to that song religiously, especially during Cross Country season, "Im not the one whos so far away, when I feel the snake bite enter my vei-e-eins, never did I wanna be here again, and I dont remember why I came!"

basically all the bands i've seen have put on amazing shows. Fingertight was good...the singer did a lot of flips and shit.
V Shape Mind is way up there on my list....2nd or 3rd probally. The were a really good band.
Powerman 5000 puts on a fantastic show. The energy in the crowd is great.
Bobaflex is a really good one. Some good heavy fuckin music....and they were some of the craziest characters. On one song the dude was gesturing beating off....holding the mic to his head....the drum hits like a gunshot...and the dude just falls to the floor. They were crazy the whole time.
10 years is the ONLY band i was disappointed in. They sucked. They put on the most horrible live show....i just stood there and watched....staring........i was fuckin bored.
Sevendust is a good one. They, like powerman, were good at throwing in a lot of the older songs they have.
But the greatest band live.....Mudvayne. Saw them twice...and cant wait to see them again. They simply take the fucking show. They were my first show....and I also saw them last winter. The kickoff of the Masters Of Horror tour with Sevendust, 10 Years, and Bobaflex. They were insane. Amazingly better then when i first saw them. These guys are just the greatest band for me. Seriously, check these guys out live sometime, they'll kick your ass

Sadly I haven't seen too many big shows but of what I have I've been blown away by Crossfade and Chevelle at a show together. Also Travis Meeks of Days of the New. There are not many people who you can be in awe of when it is just them singing with an acoustic guitar but he's got it.

1. Hurt (just awesome)
2. Sevendust (they worked their asses off for nearly two hours because the crowd was so into it, SEVERAL encores)
3. wolfmother (hell they won a grammy for it)
4. Disturbed (granted i havent seen them in 6 years)
5. Papa Roach (if you havent seen them in the past couple years since they quit drugs and lost weight, check em out)
i would have had godsmack on there, but as awesome as they are live (and ive seen em twice, and they are friggin awesome) it looks too produced. Dont get me wrong, production values for a show are great, but i prefer a little spontanaity.
Also would have liked to have put three days grace. they rock hard!

i won tickets for nickelback on the radio (they suck for the most part, but they had a nice Dimebag Darrell memorial mid-show) and i got to go backstage and get my cd signed and meet the band, and as i was leaving i saw TRAPT walk towards the stage, and i told the guy he was really really hot, he thanked me and kept walking... and then i got to hear them in the background. it was enough to make me go out and buy the whole cd (i had echo and headstrong on my ipod already, from itunes) and listen to the songs till i knew all the words. trapt is kickass.
and 10 years has a great sound recorded, i'll bet it's really different live, i'd love to see them. mmm they could open for hurt or something....

I can't really put them in order because some of these concerts were a while ago.
Dropkick Murphys - Amazing crowd energy everytime I've seen them, always a blast to see them play live.
Shinedown - Saw them once and I wasn't a big fan at the time but the live performance blew my mind.
Killswitch Engage - Great music and energy and usually some laughs because Adam is always joking around.
Hurt - I feel needs no explanation.
Godsmack - Good live show if for no other reason then to watch Sully and the drummer face off with two drum kits on stage.

Green Day is very good live, would probably surprise a lot of people if they gave them a chance.
1 - Eels (always a different "theme" for every tour, so you never really hear the same version of a song twice)
2 - Local H
3 - Filter

6. The Eagles
7. Billy Joel (especially back in the day, though still always great!)
8. Elton John "
9. James Taylor "
10. John Mellencamp
Honorable mentions: Rolling Stones, GnR back in the day, Korn, Disturbed, Stone Sour (didn't care much for them until I saw them live, but they kick arse!), Red, Operator, and I'm sure there are many more that are just not coming to my mind at the moment!
